Inbox and notifications

What you're told about, where it shows, and the emails you can turn off.

The Inbox is where NextIS tells you what's for you: a task given to you, a mention, a direct message, an agent that finished or has questions. Open it from Inbox in the sidebar; the number beside it is what you haven't read.

What comes in

Tasks given to you, by a person or when you're added to one.
Mentions: someone named you with @ in a channel, a direct message or a task's comment.
Direct messages and FollowUps, when someone asks you to follow up in a channel.
Agents working on your tasks: done, questions for you, or couldn't finish.
Your time: a timer stopped at the Mission's cap, or your hours changed by someone else.
The Space: you joined, your role changed, a new agent, an invitation accepted.

Nothing comes in for what you did yourself. What someone takes back goes with it: a message or comment deleted leaves your Inbox too, and an edited one reads as it does now.

Reading

Click a notification to go where it happened; it's read then. Mark one read without going, or Mark all read. Show All, Unread or only Mentions. Opening a direct message reads what came from it.

While NextIS is open

Something new for you sounds a soft chime. If NextIS is in a tab you're not looking at, your system shows a note too, once your browser has been allowed to; click it to go there.

By email

Tasks given to you and mentions also come by email, if you haven't read them in NextIS ten minutes later. Whoever's working in NextIS gets no email for what they've already seen. Each email has a link at the bottom to stop that kind of email; no signing in needed.

Choosing what you hear about

In Profile and preferences → Preferences → Notifications, turn each kind on or off in the Inbox, and the ones that email on or off by email. A kind off in the Inbox sends no email either. These are yours: they're the same in every Space you're in.
