Rates and invoices

Hourly rates that change over time, turned into invoices.

Set each person's hourly rate, and their time turns into money: on tasks, in reports, and in invoices for your clients.

  1. 1A rate holds from its date until the next one: a raise doesn't change past work.
  2. 2Each hour is priced at the rate on the day it was worked.
  3. 3An invoice gathers the period's hours into lines, then goes from draft to sent to paid.

Rates

On People, open someone and set their Hourly rate with the date it starts from. A new rate applies from its date on; work before it keeps the old one. Time with no rate in force isn't priced.

Making an invoice

  1. Start it

Open Invoices, press New invoice, and pick the client and the period.

  2. Choose its lines

A line per Mission, per person or per task, from the time in that period at each person's rate.

  3. Check and send

Add tax and notes, then print it or save it as PDF. Mark it Sent, then Paid.

A Mission with a client fills in their details for you. A wrong invoice can be marked Void.
