NextIS for the desktop

NextIS on your Mac, with your own Claude.

All of NextIS in a window of its own. The Claude Code signed in on your computer can answer its AI: no key to paste, and nothing of your Claude account leaves the machine.

Version 0.1.0 for macOS. Apple silicon is any Mac with an M chip; Apple menu → About This Mac shows which you have.

Windows and Linux are coming. Until then NextIS works in any browser.

What the desktop adds

A window of its own

NextIS in the Dock, apart from your browser's tabs, with its own sign-in kept between starts.

Your Claude Code answers

The Claude Code you use in the terminal can answer NextIS's AI, from your own plan, without signing in again.

Your plan's usage in sight

The sidebar shows how much of your Claude plan is used, as /usage does.

Calls

Camera and microphone work in Talk's calls, asked for once like any Mac app.

The first start

This version isn't signed by Apple yet, so macOS asks you to confirm it the first time you open it.

  1. Unzip it and move NextIS to Applications

    The download opens into NextIS.app.

  2. Open it once with Control-click → Open

If macOS still won't open it, go to System Settings → Privacy & Security and choose Open Anyway next to NextIS. After that it opens as usual.

  3. Sign in to NextIS in its window

The same email as on the web; the window keeps you signed in.

  4. For AI, sign in to Claude Code once

In Terminal, run claude, then /login. The desktop finds that session on its own.
